Please remember me | write out loud

For those who sleep from lost battles

And paid, for us, the final cost

For everybody who returned from the war

Marked forever by what they saw

the lucky ones,

that’s what they say

you have to see

another day

But your friends who fell

At the toll of death’s bell

They still chase their dreams

Over the screaming fields

Where the poppies now dwell

like a veil over hell

Where the bones still lie

And the lost still cry:

Remind me please!

Please remember Me!

I, in the deepest earth

And, I, in the deepest sea

Please do not forget

Please remember Me…
